Hello everyone
Please, if could help either to mention the rule or suggest answers.
Thank you in advance
Indefinite pronouns questions
1. Everyone has taken (his, their) payment.
2. Several eyewitnesses volunteered to give (his, their) accounts.
3. Anyone can lose (her, their) eyesight.
4. Another reported (his, their) case to the police.
5 . Somebody left (her, their) handbag in the lecture hall.
-----
It is suggested to use a plural pronoun when referring back to an indefinite pronoun.
Otherwise, some suggest using ( or ...or ) ex. Everybody needs his or her pencil.
So, according to what is said answers will be as follow :
1. their 2 for several it is always followed by a plural verb .. this is clear
3. their 4. their 5 their
Am I right or not ?

Thank you very much dear teacher gerondif,
So also please dear teacher gerondif, help me with this another question
---
__________ of the boys offered their help to the little old lady who was crossing the street.
a. Another
b. Each
c. All
d. One
Of course I suggest choice C (all) is 100 % working
However, it seems to me also ( each )
But here ( boys ) are from one gender
So, 90 % I avoid each ?? Although it is said ( using plural pronoun when referring back to an indefinite pronoun
