No one knows the day when he died.(if it is somebody else's death, ok for the preterite.)
If it is the time of your own death (but it could also be somebody else's, come to think of it) : No one knows when he will die, which day he will die.
8. It is said to have been built by a king.
It is said that a king has built it. I would put it in the preterite: It is said that a king built it.
9. Obedience to your parents is your first duty.
That you obey your parents is your first duty.
10. I heard of his success.
I heard that he was succeeded. I heard that he was successful. I heard that he had succeeded.
---
I only got trouble with Q 8
8. It is said to have been built by a king. >>
It is said that a king has built it. ? OR :
A ) It is said that it has been built by a king. Whatever.
B) There is a building that has been built by a king. Less straightforward.
