Bonjour,
j'ai de grandes difficultés en anglais. J'ai préparé un exposé. Pourriez-vous vérifier ma traduction, s'il vous plait?
Merci d'avance
INFORMATIONS:
There are American regions where the Hispanic population is more important than the American population.
The "foreigners" are for a long time on the ground of the United States.
The presence of the "South American" in the United States is already old of one and a half century and it due to the conquest.
Over the years, these " the Hispanics first ones " were joined by the immigrants who legalized their situation.
Hispanics will represent in 2050 24,5 % of the population of the United States (while they formed only 10,2 % in 1995).
Illegally two Mexicans per minute cross in the United States, that is 500 000 a year.
WHY IMMIGRATE?
Since they are young the Mexican children dream about the USA and see their close relations leaving towards this country so desired.
The Mexicans look for a deserving life, they want to offer to their family a better life.
The choice of the USA: Everyday life is better
The Mexicans believe to myth of the American dream.
For them, person living in the USA can making a fortune, become prosperous by his work, his courage, his merit and his determination, each can succeed out of nothing).
The USA also can brought their a higher salary, a better education for their children, a bigger wealth, better purchasing power, fewer unemployment, more developed social sectors, better sanitary quality.
They want also the freedom. They want simply the happiness.
WHO ARE THE IMMIGRANTS?
The immigrants are brave, ambitious, determined, optimistic but sometimes artless and innocent. Coyotes can be hypocritical.
THE IMMIGRATION
The immigration is generally illegal. Immigrants get rarely a visa that allows immigration legal.
The journey of the immigration is painful.
It is often very expensive and represents years of savings.
The journey cost approximately 2000 dollars by person.
He can be done on foot.
Certain immigrants Mexicans come from a great distance and travel hundreds of kilometer on foot to arrive at the American border.
Others take the train, which they don't pay, they rise illegally on the roofs of cars and travel several days and nights, at the risk of falling of the train and dying.
All the means of transport are used by the immigrants.
There are also refuges for these immigrants where they can sleep and eat.
The hardest stage of their journey stays the crossing of the border.
The border is in fact a simple barrier about 3 meters high and watched by the services of Mexican and American customs.
In certain places, the border becomes natural with the river Rio Grande which measures about fifty meter wide.
The Mexicans try to swim across it.
If these immigrants are arrested, they risk the prison and the repatriation in their country.
Living conditions in the detention centers are difficult.
Services of American customs are very strict and can be violent with the immigrants whom they arrest. Customs are feared by the immigrants
To cross the border, they are valid call up to a coyote.
The coyote is the person which takes care of the human contraband between Mexico and the USA to facilitate the illegal passage of the border.
Coyotes help them to cross and to find work on the other side.
Their attendance are expensive, without real guarantee of success.
It happens that the coyote betrays the immigrant and kill him.
At the edge of the border, the reality is difficult.
There is every month of hundreds of deaths and missing persons, traffics Mafioso (drug trafficking, prostitution...), arrests.
Merci beaucoup.
Anne

Bonjour,
Pourquoi votre dernière phrase se traduit-elle de cette façon par un traducteur en ligne?
There is every month of hundreds of deaths...

Merci d'avance.
Anne

Hello;
I would like to give just a remark :
Information is not a countable noun.
You can say "pieces of information" or "items of information". But there is no such thing as "informations."
good luck
