Bonjour,
Le Bac d'anglais arrive, pour moi ce sera la semaine prochaine ! Avec un faible niveau d'anglais, je vous demande de m'aider dans ma démarche,et je vous remercie d'avance.
Salutations.
To illustrate this concept I would like to talk about the problem of guns in America. The power is strength or force exerted . In america, the culture of gun is considerate like the roots. It's a culture and tradition. It's writen in the second amendment of the American Constitution. But, now, the legislation of gun is a power . Gun control is a policy to restrict the use of firearms in the United States.
First, this picture shows a child with his parents who all possess a weapon. they are armed to the teeth. they must be proud to display, their guns to defend. When the parents give a weapon when the children are little, they grow up with the idea that a gun is a normal situation. the author wants to show us that for Americans, the door of the weapon is normal and that children are also accustomed to very young arms.
the problem is that now, weapons are power. Indeed, it is so facille to procure weapons, many bloodbath coming, especially in schools like the school shooting in Colorado . Indeed, as can be seen in this image, the cartoonist wants to increase the precense of firearms in American schools and denounces the fact that American students living in violence when they should feel safe in their schools. They can turn trigger happy psycho. It also raises the question of the availability of firearms, because it is true that guns are available for everyone in America even for kids.
In the US, gun control is a burning issue opposing the pro and anti-gun advocates. Indeed, there are many examples of mass-shooting such as the Columbine massacre or the shooting in a cinema in Denver which are synonymous with death. So it reveals there's an issue about gun control. In Virginia for example, you can buy a gun without having any control.
there are different kinds of power with the lobbies and pro-guns lobbies. There's an impact on politics because it challenges the second amendment of the American Constitution. Despite of all its massacres, all the dead, as shown in this picture, malgres the bloodbath in December in the school of Newtown, 300 million firearms are still in America. Americans continue to want weapons. As shown in associassion NRA defends free trade in firearms. The gun culture is a tradition in America, this is why it takes a long time to change their mind. As a French citizen, I do not understand their way of thinking. For me to live in terror at school, see all its bloodshed is horrible. But for them, this is normal and it is difficil change behavior.
We can report this problem to the notion of places and forms of power with the power of weapons because the weapons are symbolic and very important for the American. In addition, because there are different types of power with the gun lobbies and pro-gun lobbies. there is an impact on the policy because it undermines the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
