Mythe et heros
First of all, we have to define these two concepts. The word myth derives from the ancient Greek word mythos which means legend
. The word hero also has Greek roots and meant “demi-god”, a person with superhuman abilities accomplishing extraordinary achievements. The definition has evolved and now refers to a person who is admired for his courage, outstanding achievements or noble qualities.
They help in saving people or society , like superman or batman
Some heroes are admired because of their achievements, or messages. They do courageous things, they fight for something or they want to serve others. They represent a model, an ideal man.
Martin Luther King, for example, is representative of this type of hero.
He was first a Baptist minister, but he quickly became a civil rights activist. He fought against racism and promoted equality between blacks and whites on ... USA. He never used violence; consequently he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.
He is yet a symbol of peace. He is very admired and some people want to introduce a special day to commemorate his history.
Over the centuries, numerous fictitious heroes embody qualities and moral values. They are admired by the population so they become legends which are even known today.
For me fire man was a heros , A fireman is a person trained to fight the fire and provide a range of relief of various kinds. Its main mission is to protect people, property and the environment. Firefighters are one of the occupations of civil security.Daily, a firefighter is often confronted with difficult or dangerous situations humanely. Courage and altruism are qualities inherent to the profession. As for the risk, even calculated, it is an integral part of working conditions.
To conclude. Today They are considered as a hero by all people. But everyone can be the hero of someone. A hero can be an ordinary person like me or you.
