Expression/Water treatment
Message de lindalyon posté le 07-02-2016 à 21:37:15 (S | E | F)
Bonjour à tous !
J'ai rédigé ce texte expliquant le procédé de traitement de l'eau, j'aimerais avoir vos avis s'il vous plait

Clean, safe water is vital for everyday life. Water is essential for health, hygiene and the productivity of our community. Inadequate drinking water is the cause of 5 million deaths on the planet. As much as tobacco. It is a leading cause of death in children. So the water treatment is very important.
This process may vary slightly at different locations, depending on the technology of the plant and the water it needs to process. For example, groundwater is water located underground and typically requires less treatment than water from lakes, rivers, and streams but the basic principles are largely the same.
Follow a drop of water from the source through the treatment process.
The water that comes out of the taps at your home, school and work starts off as rain. The treatment process begins at the pumping stations. Pumps drawl raw water from reservoirs rivers, streams wells or underground aquifers. Water travels by pipeline from the pumping station to the treatment facility.
The first step in the cleaning process is to removed sediment and particles from the water with the help of coagulant. Alum and other chemicals are added to water to form tiny sticky particles called "floc" which attract the dirt particles. The combined weight of the dirt and the floc become heavy enough to sink to the bottom during sedimentation.
Sedimentation is the tendency for particles in suspension to settle out of the fluid in which they are entrained, and come to rest against a barrier. This is due to their motion through the fluid in response to the forces acting on them: these forces can be due to gravity, centrifugal acceleration or electromagnetism. The heavy particles (floc) settle to the bottom and the clear water moves to filtration.
Filtration is commonly the operation which is used for the separation of solids from fluids by interposing a medium through which only the fluid can pass. The water passes through filters, some made of layers of sand, gravel, and charcoal that help remove even smaller particles.
A small amount of chlorine is added or some other disinfection method is used to kill any bacteria or microorganisms that may be in the water.
Finally, water need to be stored. The water then flows through pipes to homes and businesses in the community.

Merci d'avance pour vos réponses !
