Bonjour,
pourriez-vous m'aider à corriger les erreurs svp s'il vous plait?
Je vous remercie d'avance de votre aide

. Suffragettes were members of women's organisations in the late-19th and early-20th centuries which advocated (défenseur) the right to vote in public elections, to women.
. In fact, on the 19th century, there are a lot of inequalities between the sexes. Women’s are under the care of their husband.
. English women wanted to take part in the political life. They asked the same civil rights that mans. They was based on the universal suffrage
. John Stuart was a political economist, feminist and civil servant. He wanted women to get the right to vote. He proposed an amendment but it was rejected.
. So women’s resorted to a lot of averages for express their discontentment:
In 1897, women formed the national union of women’s suffrage societies under the leadership of Millicent Fawcett. The NUWS wanted the vote for middle class property-Owings women. They used peaceful tactics.
The suffragettes (a name given to them by the news paper the daily mail) were born out of the suffragist movement.
Emmeline lankhurst (who had been a member of the Manchester suffragist group) decided to break with the NUWSS in 1903. She set up a separate society called the WSPU ( women’s social and Political Union).
The suffragette’s motto was “deeds not words “. This motto symbolizes a rebellion with violence. In fact in 1912, they became more violent and militant
In 1907, the wspu spread into 2 groups and in 1909 (2 years later) the wspu had branches all over the country

Today?
Glass ceiling: it’s an expression which indicates invisible rood which prevents minorities from gaining- higher positions, access to higher post (from example: gender pay gap)

The suffragettes (a name given to them by the news paper the daily mail)= très mal dit!) were born out of the suffragist movement.
In 1907, the wspu spread(divided ?) into 2 groups and in 1909 (2 years later) the wspu had branches all over the country
