Message from jun708 posted on 16-04-2016 at 16:04:47 (D | E | F)
Hi,guys! Hello,
Is there any difference please between
"She looked down on the secretaries she had worked with" and
"She looked down on the secretaries she had been working with."?
Thanks for any reply.

Hello.
"She looked down on the secretaries she had worked with" may indicate that she has a new job because she is no longer working with them. "She looked down on the secretaries she had been working with." means that she just finished working with them but there is also a sense of continuity rather than an end to employment.
